Maritime Operational Awareness for Joint Operations Course was conducted on 25 - 28 October 2016, at NATO LANDCOM HQ, İzmir, Turkey. 14 participants from 10 countries attended this course. Aim of this course was to provide non-Navy staff awareness and understanding of maritime aspects of joint operations for the functions of joint operations/exercise planning and execution in NATO Joint HQs as well as non-Naval NATO HQs. This three and a half day course enabled non-maritime staff understand and gain awareness/knowledge of maritime aspects of joint operations. A half day ship visit onboard the first Ada class corvette TCG HEYBELİADA (F-511) was also scheduled at Foça Naval Base.
