The Black Sea is a significant region because of its geostrategic location, which provides access to the Balkans, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, the Caspian Sea, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. Therefore, it is essential for the security, transport, and energy-flow of the littoral states and the neighboring regions.
The NATO Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (MARSEC COE) Black Sea Maritime Security Symposium will take place on 28 – 29 November 2022 in our premises in İstanbul, Türkiye.
The symposium aims to provide a forum for discussion on maritime security developments and maritime security-related issues within the Black Sea region. This event is an excellent opportunity to bring together the maritime security community of interest from military/governmental organizations, industry, and academia. The symposium’s main theme is “Maritime Security Resilience in the Black Sea”. The event will utilize a panel format to foster multi-faceted consideration of the related issues and the symposium proceedings will be published.
