Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (MARSEC COE)’s “Comprehensive Maritime Security Operations Course” was successfully conducted at MARSEC COE-İstanbul premises through 04-15 December 2023.
The aim of the course was “to provide a comprehensive approach to Maritime Security, Maritime Security Operations (MSO) and Tasks”, in accordance with the “NATO MSO Concept (MC 0588)“. The course included relevant history, law, concepts, doctrines, operations, operational planning, and other aspects of Maritime Security through a robust analysis of risks, threats, challenges, and potential impacts on the security of the Alliance.
A total of 57 lecturers/SMEs/attendees from 13 Nations (Azerbaijan, Belgium, Greece, Mauritania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Senegal, Singapore, Spain, Türkiye, the United Kingdom and the USA) participated in the course.
