The first Steering Committee Meeting of MARSEC COE for this year, was hosted by one of our esteemed sponsoring nations, Romania, and took place in Bucharest on 23-24 May 2024. Head of Turkish Naval Education and Training Command, Rear Admiral Erhan AYDIN (OF-7) (TUR N) chaired the meeting. Representatives from Türkiye, Greece, Portugal, and Romania (Sponsoring Nations) participated as voting members, while Azerbaijan and Italy were observers.

During the meeting, the Steering Committee examined the progress of the Azerbaijan’s participation as a contributing nation, the achievements of the current year and the status of the budget.
