MARSEC COE Participation in the NDU Naval War Institute Workshop

On 10 April 2025, MARSEC COE participated in the workshop titled “The Effects of Technological Developments on the Duties and Functions of the Turkish Naval Forces Command and Its Legal Status”, organized by the Naval War Institute of the National Defense University. As part of the event’s academic and professional program, our team contributed to three dedicated panels by delivering the following presentations:

• CAPT.(N) Burak İNAN – Next-Generation Navigation and Unmanned Maritime Vehicles Based on the S-100 Framework: Opportunities and Challenges
• CAPT.(N) Levent BAHADIR – The Role of Unmanned Maritime Vehicles (UMVs) in Maritime Security Operations and Reflections on International Law: An Assessment through NATO Practices in the Baltic Sea
• CDR. Selim BAHÇEKAPILI – Integration of Unmanned Systems into Maritime Security Operations: The Case of EXER MARSEC-23 OPEX

The event provided a high-level platform for exchanging perspectives on the evolving impact of emerging technologies, both from an operational and legal standpoint.
