Under NATO's Defense Capacity Building Initiative for Mauritania, MARSEC COE's Mobile Education and Training Team conducted a Maritime Situational Awareness training in Nouakchott between 25-30 May 2025, to enhance Mauritania's maritime security capacity.
A group of bright junior officers from the Mauritanian Navy and Coastguard participated in the activity. The training consisted of a tailored theoretical session, as well as practical application and skills-building related to maritime security operations.
