Maritime Security Centre of Excellence (MARSEC COE) is pleased to invite representatives of relevant organizations and stakeholders to participate in the inaugural combined meeting of the Maritime Situational Awareness Working Group (MSA WG) and the Maritime Security Information Sharing Working Group (MSIS WG). The meeting will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Thursday, 10 September 2026, under the chairmanship of MARSEC COE.

Following the disestablishment of the Combined Joint Operations from the Sea Centre of Excellence (CJOS COE), responsibility for leading the MSIS WG was officially transferred to MARSEC COE. In order to maximize operational synergy, promote broader stakeholder cooperation, and enhance a comprehensive understanding of contemporary maritime security challenges, MSIS WG activities will be conducted alongside the MSA WG meeting. This combined format marks the first occasion on which both working groups will convene under the chairmanship of MARSEC COE.

The primary objective of the combined meeting is to address evolving maritime security threats by incorporating diverse stakeholder perspectives and facilitating the exchange of information and expertise on maritime situational awareness, maritime security information-sharing networks, and emerging technological challenges.
